A quick and flavorful dish combining tender steak with golden baby potatoes infused with garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • lbs baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 56 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the halved or quartered potatoes. Season them with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Cook the potatoes until they are golden and fork-tender, approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Season the sirloin steak cubes with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs.
  5. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  6. Sear the steak in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary for about 2–3 minutes on each side until browned. Avoid overcooking.
  7. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the remaining butter and minced garlic.
  8. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, around 1 minute.
  9. Return the cooked potatoes to the pan and toss everything together, cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes to heat through.

Notes

For best results, cut the potatoes to uniform sizes, and consider using fresh herbs for garnish.
