These Greek turkey meatballs paired with a creamy tzatziki sauce are a healthy and delicious option for a satisfying meal.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

Notes

Consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs for added fiber. For extra flavor, add feta cheese to the meat mixture and use fresh herbs when possible.
