A satisfying dish combining tender ground turkey with mushrooms in a creamy sauce, served over egg noodles or rice, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or rice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic; sauté until translucent.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  5. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream until well combined.

Notes

For best results, brown the turkey thoroughly and use fresh mushrooms. Stir in sour cream off the heat to prevent curdling.
