A quick and flavorful dish featuring juicy boneless chicken thighs coated in a sticky honey-soy-garlic glaze, served over rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 to 2 pounds boneless chicken thighs (about 6 thighs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or another neutral, high-smoke-point oil)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the thighs to the hot pan in a single layer. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
  4. While the chicken cooks, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, reduce heat to medium-low and pour the honey garlic mixture over it. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken.
  6. Remove from heat and let the sauce thicken slightly in the pan. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For gluten-free, substitute soy sauce with tamari. For a less sweet version, reduce honey and add a splash of rice vinegar or lemon juice.
