  • 1 cup Brown Sugar (Packed into the measuring cup)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Pure vanilla extract preferred)
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips (Milk, semi-sweet, or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully integrated.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula or wooden spoon.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. To freeze, place cookies in a single layer until firm, then transfer to a zip-top freezer bag for up to three months.
