A quick and elegant salmon dish with a silky lemon butter cream sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the salmon dry and place the fillets in a baking dish. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 to 45 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, then add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Stir and simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  5. Spoon the lemon butter cream sauce evenly over the salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the center flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the fillets before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat cream for the best texture; half and half will thin the sauce. Skin-on fillets can be used; place skin-side down to absorb the sauce.
