  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
  4. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Combine the sauce with the baked salmon for serving.

Notes

For a different flavor base, substitute garlic for shallots or add capers to the sauce for extra zing.
