Ingredients
Scale
4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on recommended)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 cup green beans, trimmed
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and olive oil until melted and foamy.
Add the minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant, about 20 to 30 seconds.
Season the chicken thighs on both sides with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet and cook until the skin is deep golden, about 5 to 7 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for 5 to 7 minutes.
Pour lemon juice over the chicken and spoon a little sauce over each thigh. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet and toss in the pan juices. Cook until the beans are tender-crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot with pan sauce drizzled over the chicken and green beans.
Notes
For extra crisp skin, pat the thighs dry before seasoning. Use fresh herbs for a flavor boost.
