A simple, comforting baked chicken dish topped with a creamy cheese blend that keeps the chicken moist and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Oil a baking dish and arrange the chicken breasts in it.
  4. Rub olive oil over the top of each breast.
  5. Spread the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For lower fat, use reduced-fat cream cheese and Greek yogurt. Add 1/4 cup grated Parmesan for extra depth. If breasts are thick, consider butterflying or pounding them for uniform cooking.
