Delicious chocolate chip cookies with a gooey Nutella center, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Nutella for filling (approx 1–2 teaspoons per cookie)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the softened butter with the brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing until smooth.
  4. Whisk flour with baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough, flatten it, add 1 teaspoon of Nutella, seal it, and roll into a ball.
  8. Place cookie balls on baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden but centers look soft.
  10. Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for 3 to 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For dairy-free or vegan options, use vegan butter and an egg replacer.
