Indulgent one-pot creamy garlic pasta made with minimal fuss, offering rich flavors and easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or fusilli)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the olive oil. Warm the oil until it shimmers.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant. Watch closely so it does not brown.
  3. Pour the dry pasta into the pot and add the milk. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce to low. Let it simmer, stirring every few minutes, for about 8 to 12 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
  5. When the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has thickened, remove the pot from the heat and stir in the grated Parmesan until melted.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For a silkier sauce, use whole milk or substitute half-and-half. For a dairy-free version, use unsweetened plant milk and nutritional yeast instead of Parmesan.
