Deliciously large, chewy cookies loaded with chocolate chunks for a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour and baking soda in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Beat butter and sugars in a large bowl using a mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Add salt, vanilla, and eggs; beat until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop large tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown.

Notes

For a twist, try adding nuts or using different types of chocolate chips.
