  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
  3. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan until smooth.
  4. Whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
  5. Sift in the cocoa powder and add the vanilla extract, whisking until you have a velvety mixture.
  6. Crack in the eggs one at a time, whisking thoroughly until incorporated.
  7. Fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined, ensuring not to overmix.
