A delightful dessert combining rich chocolate cake with a creamy cream cheese swirl and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of diced strawberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly across the base.
  4. Beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar in a separate bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Swirl the cream cheese mixture over the batter in the pan.
  6. Top with diced strawberries, evenly distributing them.
  7. Cover with the remaining batter, ensuring strawberries are completely covered.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

Room temperature cream cheese mixes more easily and smoothly. Fresh strawberries are preferred, but thawed and drained frozen ones work as well.
