Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9 baking dish or a 12×17 half sheet pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla on medium speed until well combined.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with milk, until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
