A hearty, budget-friendly classic meatloaf that’s easy to prepare and perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme in a large bowl.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  5. Top the meatloaf with additional ketchup if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Notes

Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain juices. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
